Maebashi's boss, Shiroganeya Ginjiro, allied with the magistrate Yamaoka Jintayu, and, using his baton as a shield, he committed a series of evil acts, earning the peasants' animosity. At this time, Omaeda Eigoro, who had been on a long journey, returned with his horseman Kunisada Chuji.
