In the theater, Peter meets D'Arnie, who replaces an actor in the play who looks like Alexander. In exchange for information about Ivan Cherkasov, he is ready to report where the emperor is. After hearing that Peter remembered his father, D'Arny tells about his son Peter and Xenia as a reciprocal favor and disappears. Napoleon declares to Peter that he is not involved in Alexander's kidnapping.
