Captured by Zhang Qing’s men, he was secretly protected by Zhang Qing and Sun Erniang, who admired his righteousness and helped him flee disguised as a monk toward Erlong Mountain. Along the way, Wu Song killed a corrupt Taoist priest committing rape and aided the victim. At an inn, he clashed with Kong Liang over unfair treatment, defeated him, and calmly endured severe beatings ordered by Kong Ming until Song Jiang arrived and stopped the violence.
