It’s the midway point for Phil Serrell and Steph Connell as they cruise Caledonia in their 1960s classic car. Steph becomes puppet master as she tours the Scottish Borders in pursuit of profits, but Phil is distracted by the local cuisine. At the end of the first day’s shopping, all he’s bought is some lunch. With a belly full of square sausage, will he have the energy to find antiques to take to the auction in Hamilton or just suffer from indigestion? When the shopping finally gets underway, it’s a chic French sign that excites Steph, while Phil continues to be distracted by food with the most peculiar buy of the trip so far - a very old potato chipper. One thing’s for sure: one huge antique purchase certainly won’t fit in the boot of the classic car.
