Companhias do Teatro Brasileiro

Season 1 Episode 11: Asdrúbal trouxe o Trombone

In the 1980s, the group ‘Asdrúbal trouxe o Trombone’ launched a generation of young talents, such as Regina Casé, Luiz Fernando Guimarães, and Evandro Mesquita. The group left its mark on Brazilian theater—particularly in its approach to comedy—through a stripped-down performance style, improvisation, and collective creation.
