An unprecedented, gigantic mushroom cloud appears in the sky in the direction of Hiroshima. It is said that a new type of bomb has been dropped. Suzu (Matsumoto Honoka) is extremely worried about her family living in Eba, but there is nothing she can do alone. When Shusaku (Matsuzaka Tori) returns home, he is worried about her, but she remains brave. Suzu then vows to herself that she wants to become even stronger. A few days later, a notice is circulated around the Hojo household. It tells them to wait in front of the radio for an important announcement at noon.
