Season 2 Episode 21: Grand Final

Donna Hay was welcomed to the MasterChef kitchen to introduce the first part of finale: a fruit dessert challenge. Jack and Greta had one minute to dessert challenge. Jack and Greta had one minute to choose their fruits, then an hour to impress the dessert queen. Jack created a deconstructed strawberries‑and‑cream, while Greta attempted a citrus tart. Both hit hurdles — Jack with his chocolate pipes, Greta with a curd that wouldn’t thicken. In scoring, Jack earned four 8s and a 9, while Greta received an 8 from Anna and 9s from the remaining judges. The final challenge was a Pressure Test set by the legendary Tetsuya. Both cheflings cooked far beyond their years, plating dishes worthy of the master himself. Jack scored 8s from Tetsuya and Gary, and 9s from Anna, George and Matt. Greta needed big numbers and delivered: 9s from Gary and Tetsuya and perfect 10s from the others, crowning her Junior MasterChef 2011 champion.
