2000, a provincial town. Employee of the Prosecutor's Office Eremin knocks down on his car ran out to the carriageway of children. At the trial, the woman is fully justified, and she is transferred to Moscow. Ten years pass. Eremin is being killed. On suspicion of murder, the formerly threatened young man, Zgoyev, was detained. His fiancee died in a car accident, and Eremin achieved full justification for the driver who crashed into Zgoyev's car, although Zgoyev claims that the guy was drunk. After the trial, Zgoyev publicly threatened Yeremin, he tries to escape during the detention, and he is wounded. Kamenskaya does not believe in his guilt. Together with Dotsenko, they go to the very city where Eremina lived many years ago.
