Joe's mother demands to know how he got his scratch on his head and Joe loses his temper. Eli states Matthew is going away because he is afraid of something. David suggests Doris to invite Elliot over for dinner. Elliot accepts, despite the fact Connie doesn't want to. Meanwhile, Rita admits to Norman Joe has kissed her. He is mad and pushes her. Rita asks him to believe her nothing is going on between Joe and her. Allison admits she may not be able to love someone.
