Bert and Gre try to breathe new life into their relationship with a fair division of tasks, although in practice this proves not so simple. Klaas and Gerda are getting ready for their daughter Maily's third birthday. As they look forward to primary school, memories of when Mathilde was bullied also resurface. Tonny and Derre travel to Dordrecht to fry fish for people who are less well-off, but it remains unexpectedly quiet. Teun receives bad news: his new house is flooded. Jelle needs to recover after back surgery. Mathilde and Jannie take care of him like true sisters. Gerda is urgently admitted to the hospital due to complications following her gastric bypass surgery.
